Does the Word Lover title above strike you as curious or strange? Let me shed some light on that for you.
First and most important you must know is that the Word I love is Jesus, God’s Son, the Word sent to earth to save and redeem me from sin and from my sins. I love Him enough to always be trying to live to please Him. Yes, I know I fail at this much too often. I also know that if I confess my sins He is faithful and just to forgive my sins and cleanse me from all that isn’t like Him.
Word Lover. I also love the living Book He inspired and gave us to reveal everything I need to know about Himself, and about myself. I love the rich food He provides for me in His book. I love how it builds my faith in Him, teaches me, and comforts me. And I love the Author.
Word Lover. I have always, always, always loved to read books and printed information that interests me. More books. Amazon and I are great friends!
Word Lover. I even like languages and words in other languages. Spanish is my most favorite other language…since sixth grade, y’all. Let me know how many years ago you think that was.
One Christmas many years ago, my parents gave me three new books as gifts. At bedtime, my mother asked me if I had looked at the books yet, and I had to tell her I had read all three of them that day. She paused a moment, then said, “YOU are getting a library card!”
